Jack Nagle

 Jack Nagle is a leading addiction recovery professional, consumer engagement expert, former member of the
Australian Prime Minister’s Advisory Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs (ANACAD)


He's the Director and Founder of both Real Drug Talk and Connection Based Living. 

 

He holds a Diploma of Community Services (Alcohol & Other Drugs & Mental Health) and has extensive firsthand Clinical experience, working directly with consumers as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor for
over 15 years. 

 

Jack also has extensive expertise in the co-production of research, clinical and health resources and solutions for service consumers in the Alcohol and Other Drugs sector.


His passionate advocacy and creativity are drawn from his own lived experience of substance use and addiction recovery.

Jack Nagle has active research collaborations Across a number of NHMRC-funded trials with The University of Sydney, The University of
New South Wales, St Vincents Hospital Sydney, and alcohol and drug services in the South
East Sydney, Sydney and Hunter New England Local Health Districts. 

 

Jack is currently a CI On the OLAM Study: A randomised double-blind placebo-controlled trial of oral Lisdexamfetamine for methamphetamine withdrawal, where he chairs the Consumer
Advisory Group to ensure the voice of lived and living experience is involved in the design,
Evaluation, implementation and dissemination of the trial findings.
